Stud earrings
Stud earrings (with a screw) are considered to be the most classic model and usually consist of a single precious stone or diamond fixed on a precious metal setting. The screws provide a secure and easy-to-wear fastening system.
This model of earrings has its origins thousands of years ago, when, in ancient society, they were mainly worn by men to express their upper-class origins, among other things. Throughout history, this small fashion accessory has evolved, leaving its mark in every culture.
Whether they are with diamonds or not, stud earrings are entirely discreet, universal, full of grace and elegance. Those with diamonds became fashionable in the 16th century and have since remained a beloved piece of jewelry for women of all ages. Despite their simplicity, diamond stud earrings are regularly worn on the red carpet at award ceremonies by stars such as Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson, and Eva Longoria, as well as by famous male celebrities like Usher, Will Smith, and Justin Bieber. Although they are discreet, these earrings do not go unnoticed.
Solitaire ring
Iconic in its refinement, a solitaire engagement ring is defined as any ring that features a single diamond. Its origins can be traced back to ancient Roman times, when a ring symbolized life and eternity and was used as a public commitment to marriage. Then, with the discovery of diamond mines in Africa during the Victorian era, the model became popular among high-ranking married couples. In 1948, De Beers (one of the largest diamond mining and extraction companies in the world) decided to boost diamond sales among the middle class in America. It introduced the famous phrase "A diamond is forever," confirming the position of the solitaire engagement ring as the ultimate symbol of lasting love.
A reference model of the solitaire ring belongs to the jewelry house Tiffany. Over 130 years ago, founder Charles Lewis Tiffany designed a meticulous design - six prongs that lifted a round-shaped diamond above a thin gold band, a departure from other classic engagement ring models of the time, which had the stone set very close to the band.
Pearl necklace
Hundreds of years ago, pearls were considered a rarity and an invaluable treasure. A pearl necklace and earrings were the most expensive jewelry in the world, worn only by the wealthiest people. This was the case until 1893 when the Japanese Kokichi Mikimoto created the first cultured pearl, making them accessible to the general public.
Coco Chanel was the first designer to introduce cultured pearls into her collections, sparking a trend that is still popular today. The pearl necklace is a symbol and has been worn by actresses such as Audrey Hepburn in the film "Breakfast at Tiffany's" or Frances Sternhagen in the series "Sex and the City," as well as by some of the most influential women in the world, such as Jacqueline Kennedy, Barbara Bush, Princess Diana, and Michelle Obama.
Tenis bracelet
The tennis bracelet is one of the most beloved pieces of jewelry among women, due to its precious versatility that makes you want to wear it all day, in every season and context.
It is a symmetrical arrangement of diamonds set on a white gold frame that reflects every sparkle.
The name comes from American tennis player Chris Evert, who lost her diamond bracelet (made by jeweler George Bedewi) during a match and refused to continue playing until she found it.
Tennis bracelets are also called "diamond bracelets" or "eternity bracelets," due to their perfect circular shape.
Nowadays, there are many variations of this type of jewelry. Most diamond tennis bracelets are made from white gold or platinum, but timeless yellow gold or rose gold can also be chosen. Different settings, thicknesses, precious metals, and colors of gemstones mean tennis bracelets suitable for any style.
