Jewelry Care – Usage Instructions
Moogu jewelry is designed to be worn and cherished for a lifetime, but it requires proper care to maintain its beauty. Follow the recommendations below to protect and preserve its brilliance:
Protecting Your Jewelry
Avoid impacts, scratches, and contact with hard surfaces.
Keep jewelry away from water, perfumes, detergents, cosmetics, and chemicals, as they can damage the metal and loosen stones.
Remove jewelry before washing your hands, cleaning, household chores, or swimming.
Do not wear jewelry during sports activities, especially contact sports.
Take off stone-set jewelry before sleeping to prevent snagging or deformation.
Caring for Precious and Semi-Precious Stones
Diamonds and other precious stones should be protected from mechanical shocks and sharp objects.
Avoid hairspray, perfumes, and other chemicals from coming into contact with earrings, necklaces, or pendants.
Semi-precious stones and crystals should be kept away from excessive light and heat, as they may change color or crack.
Storing Your Jewelry
Silver jewelry should be stored individually in jewelry boxes, away from moisture, kitchens, or bathrooms to prevent oxidation.
925 sterling silver without rhodium plating may tarnish when exposed to humidity or excessive heat. This is a natural process and not considered a defect. Clean silver jewelry using baking soda or specialized silver cleaning solutions.
To maintain shine, use a soft cloth designed for jewelry cleaning.
Gold and Its Treatments
Moogu jewelry is crafted from yellow, white, or rose gold, achieved by alloying gold with other metals to create unique shades.
White gold jewelry is rhodium-plated, and the protective coating may wear off in 3-6 months, requiring periodic re-plating. The same applies to black rhodium finishes.
Warranty and Maintenance
Moogu jewelry is hallmarked in compliance with quality and guarantee standards, authorized by the National Authority for Consumer Protection – Precious Metals Department.
Depending on wear frequency, we recommend having your jewelry inspected and professionally cleaned at least once a year.
The warranty does not cover damages caused by improper use, accidents, negligence, or exposure to harmful factors affecting the material and craftsmanship.
By following these care guidelines, your Moogu jewelry will remain as stunning as the day you received it!
